A man has been charged for allegedly stabbing a year-old girl 41 times after he sexually assaulted her in a wooded area on the Far South Side last month. Isaiha Nevitt, 19, turned himself in to police on July 3. His parents accompanied him to the station, a police source told the Chicago Sun-Times. Nevitt, who has no prior arrest history, is expected to appear in central bond court Saturday.
A year-old homeless man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman in the neck with a hypodermic needle as she stood in a midtown Manhattan Citibank on a Friday afternoon earlier this month, authorities say. Boyd Taylor was charged Saturday with second-degree assault in the July 12 attack on the year-old woman at West 32nd Street. It appeared the attack was unprovoked; police said Taylor allegedly walked up to the woman, stabbed her once in the neck with the needle and ran off. Senate Dems deliver warning to Supreme Court. Watching black-necked stilts on their nests in Shoveler Pond at the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge in Chambers County lets us see bird parenting at its finest. Males sport a glossy black hue on their backs, whereas females show a duller tone of brown-tinged black. Both have long, needle-thin beaks. Along the tour loop road on the western end of the pond are multiple pairs of breeding black-necked stilts guarding their nests on muddy, grassy mounds barely above the surface of the water.
